Application
Techniques
- Tropical Hardwood Epoxy Glue comes in a two part pack,
A & B
- Mixing by volume: 1:1
- Mixing by weight: 10 parts A to 12 parts B
- For best results mix in one container, transfer to a second
container & mix again
- Allow to sit 10-20 minutes before use
- Allow to sit on wood joints with exposed end grain or
exceptional roughness for at least half the pot life before
assembly
- Soft rubber pads under clamp faces will maintain an even
pressure on the joint as excess glue squeezes out

Larger mixed quantities and sun
exposure can shorten pot life
Note:
- Correct surface preparation is 50% of adhesive bonding
success
- Not recommended for curing in cold weather below12∞C
In cold weather conditions use our Glue-It
in preference to our Tropical
Hardwood Glue when maximum flexibility is critical to
resist shock or vibration or to absorb the stresses for
dissimilar woods and cross-grain joints.
- Use Glue-It if high heat resistance is required.
- Use Tropical Hardwood Epoxy for joints that must be capable
of disassembly. A heat gun at 65-80 degrees C. will usually
soften the joint enough.
- Where a more liquid consistency is required for plywood
sheet laminating or
for fibreglass layup, our Laminate-It
is appropriate.
For cleaning up excess before the glue has gelled, use Senseal's
dedicated Clean-It.
